Hi Guys

 

Right as you may have noticed or not as the case is, that the main server has been taken off line.  There are two reasons for this, one, I was running it with only 1 person in the past 10 days logging in to play.. Cat I know you logged in to check it out.

 

Second, Spirit and I now need the power of Server 1 to complete the new version of the mod...  So I ask that NO ONE starts to have a go at any member of staff about the server being off line.  We did say when we put it on line for you to play the pre-beta that it could go off if the server was needed for other things to do with modding.

 

The Server will be back on line for everybody once we have finished the work we are doing at the moment, and YES it's nothing like what you have been playing for the past few months.

 

If we can get this heavy load of work completed quickly, but with no errors then we will release a proper Beta of the mod..

 

One main problem we came accross was the fact that the work we are doing at the moment required us to do player wipes upto 3 times a week to get the right coding in place, and im sure that you guys would get pretty pissed off if you had to keep redoing you characters.

 

If you want to talk to us about anything I have mentioned then you know where we are.

Hi guys,

 

Sorry to you all that we have had to take the server offline for public use. We tried to use a 2nd server box to run tests on, but unfortunately it was nowhere near powerful enough for us to continue using for testing what we needed to with systems etc.

It was starting to delay us quite a lot, and things were starting to be a nightmare to test, worst part was not knowing 100% if it was the server or the work we had been doing that was causing problems. Since we have now run the test on the main server last night, we know 100% it was all due to the other server and not the work we have been doing thankfully.

As Rags has stated, the work we are currently doing has had us doing many player wipes on our own chars, this is not something we really want to be putting all the players through constantly, so we decided that for now, we need to use the main server to get the bits done we need to do, to progress with getting the mod finished.

 

We will try and keep you guys updated on what we are doing so you are not left completely in the dark again. But this means now that we can really get going on the work again.

yeah inoticed that the server is down but all i can say: atm i have less time to play so i will wait and look at here often to see whats going on as always take the time you need and than TR will kick a**

I am excited that we will have a better mod after y'all are done!  I haven't been online for quite a while, so I've missed most of the discussions. I'm still here, and waiting patiently for a great product.  Keep up the good work!
