Ty for the report on this.
As of yet, the only thing that has been done to any equipment, including shields etc.. is that the prices were just dropped so no one could use them to make hundreds of millions of credits, with one sale. When we get to doing them all (ships included), they will be looked at and changed to fit the balance we are doing to the whole game.
The info cards are also not finished just yet, none have been put in for now, so they will pretty much be wrong for a while, we will be adding these when they are done
